French films reap a bumper crop of awards at San Sebastian
It was an excellent year for France at this year's 63rd San Sebastian International Film Festival, which concluded on September 26 with seven prizes awarded to French productions across the various festival sections.
Scooping up the Special Jury Prize, Best Cinematography Award, Best Screenplay Award, and New Directors' Prize, French films put in a shining performance at the most recent San Sebastian International Film Festival, which held its impressive closing ceremony on September 26.
Special Mention from the Jury and FIPRESCI Prize: Dieu, ma mère et moi by Federico Veiroj (Spain, Uruguay, France)
Kutxabank - New Directors' Prize: 転校生 by Rudi Rosenberg (France)
Horizontes Award and EZAE Prize: Paulina by Santiago Mitre (Argentina, Brazil, France)
