15 French films to be showcased at the New York Film Festival

Now in its 39th year, the New York Film Festival – to be held from September 28 through October 14 this year – will present an exceptional selection of French films. 11 majority-French productions and coproductions are included in this year's selection: "For My Sister" by Catherine Breillat, "The Lady and the Duke" by Eric Rohmer, "Ce vieux rêve qui bouge" by Alain Guiraudie, "Time Out" by Laurent Cantet, "Intimacy" by Patrice Chéreau, "Sobibor, Oct. 14, 1943, 4 p.m." by Claude Lanzmann, "Le Souffle" by Damien Odoul, "Who Knows?" by Jacques Rivette, "In Praise of Love" by Jean-Luc Godard, "I'm Going Home" by Manoel de Oliveira, and "Silence, on tourne" by Youssef Chahine. Four other productions are also included in the festival program: "The Son's Room" by Nanni Moretti, "Warm Water Under a Red Bridge" by Shohei Imamura, "What Time Is It Over There?" (aka "Dark Circles") by Tsai Ming-liang and "Mulholland Drive" by David Lynch.
