Tübingen Festival: Awards list

The Tübingen International Film Festival closed on Saturday evening, November 2, granting awards to "To Be and to Have," "Betty Fisher and Other Stories," "Se Souvenir Des Belles Choses" and "No Man's Land."

"To Be and to Have" by Nicolas Philibert picked up the Distribution Assistance Prize financed by the Land Bade-Würtemberg "MFG" Support Fund and Unifrance, granted by Jury members Volker Lamm (Tübingen cinema operator), Christine Haupt (Land Bade-Würtemberg Support Fund) and Thilo Wydra (journalist). Distributed by Ventura Film (Heidrun Podzus), the film is slated for release in Germany January 16, 2003.
"Betty Fisher and Other Stories" by Claude Miller also received a Special Mention at the Festival.
The "Fliegende Kamera" Prize, awarded by the public and donated by the company Zeltwanger Maschinenbau GmgH from Tübingen, went to Zabou Breitman for "Se Souvenir Des Belles Choses" (distributed by Pegasos).
Finally, Danis Tanovic was awarded the Youth Prize for his film "No Man's Land." The Jury for this award was composed of 7 schoolchildren from the Tübingen region.
