French films selected at Cannes 2010

From May 12 through 23, 14 feature films produced or majority co-produced by France will be showcased in the Official Selection of the 63rd Cannes Film Festival.

The lineup for the 2010 Cannes Film Festival was unveiled Thursday, April 15.
14 feature films produced or co-produced by France (including 6 titles in competition) will be presented at the festival. France will have a particularly strong presence in the Official Competition in comparison to previous years.

The official lineup is yet to be finalized, with festival programmers likely to add a number of new titles to the 16 films already included in the Official Competition.

The Princess of Montpensier (The Princess of Montpensier) by Bertrand Tavernier
Outside the Law (Outside the Law) by Rachid Bouchareb (French majority co-production)
Copie conforme/ トスカーナの贋作 (Certified Copy) by Abbas Kiarostami (French majority co-production)
A Screaming Man by Mahamat-Saleh Haroun (French majority co-production)

Out of Competition:
Carlos by Olivier Assayas (French majority co-production)

Midnight Screenings:
Black Heaven (Black Heaven) by Gilles Marchand (French majority co-production)


Special Screenings:
汽車はふたたび故郷へ by Otar Iosseliani
Nostalgia for the light (Nostalgia For The Light) by Patricio Guzman (French majority co-production)

Un Certain Regard:
Lights Out by Fabrice Gobert
Film Socialisme by Jean-Luc Godard (French majority co-production)
