uniFrance organizes its first initiative in South East Asia

From December 7 through 13, 2011, uniFrance Films is hosting its first event in South East Asia in partnership with the Singapore French Film Festival, an event founded by the French Embassy.

A selection of 16 films will be presented at the event, including 7 titles that have been acquired by distributors:
Point Blank by Fred Cavayé (MVP)
Sarah's Key by Gilles Paquet-Brenner (Cathay)
The Well Digger's Daughter by Daniel Auteuil (Golden Village)
Forces spéciales by Stéphane Rybojad (Shaw)
The Monk by Dominik Moll (Cathay)
The Artist by Michel Hazanavicius (Cathay)
A Happy Event by Rémi Bezançon (MVP)

The 9 other new films are Americano by Mathieu Demy, The Art of Love by Emmanuel Mouret, Beloved by Christophe Honoré, Top Floor, Left Wing by Angelo Clanci, The Minister by Pierre Schoeller, Service Entrance by Philippe Le Guay, Gibier d’élevage by Rithy Panh, Free Men by Ismaël Ferroukhi, and Nobody Else But You by Gérlad Hustache-Mathieu.

Carole Bouquet will lead the French delegation of artists and sales agents. A retrospective of the actress's films will also be held during the event, hosted by the French Institute.

Held as a sidebar event, the South East Asia Film Market will bring together around 30 regional film buyers and around 10 French sales agents. Participating countries include Singapore, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The creation of this new Rendez-vous with French Cinema event reflects uniFrance Films' desire to reach out to new markets while strengthening our presence in existing markets for French films.
