In Taiwan, nineteen-year-old Alei oversees the website for May Day, a rock group. A few thousand miles away, Xuan, a seventeen-year-old Chinese girl, is a student at the Peking opera school. A May Day fan, she gets in touch with Alei, who pretends he’s the group’s leader.
When her troupe plans a trip to Taiwan for a one-off show, Xuan suggests that she and Alei meet. Aware that he’s lied about his identity, Alei hesitates before accepting the rendezvous. He now waits on tenterhooks for D Day.
