They are 20 year-old. They are seven - four boys and three girls - and they decide to create a musical group (jazz). They practice in an old storehouse overlooking the harbour, which they furnish with second hand fournitures. They rehearse their music quite assiduously, while going through difficult and frustating love-stories and frequent conflicts. Under the aegis of the most enthusiast member of the group, this hobby becomes an engrossing activity until the day when, after their first public performance, they decide to live all the time in the storehouse and to devote all their energy to the recording of a record. Internal tensions and an external event will soon spoil the harmony of a life apparently far apart from the outside world.
