Felix, a twenty-year-old vagabond, arrives in an isolated Argentinean village. He crosses paths with Roberto, an unemployed worker, who offers him a job at the farm where he lives with his wife Mercedes and their one-year-old baby, Chango. In this isolated setting, under the Pampa’s burning sun, Felix discovers the violent and silent tension pervading the family’s daily life. While the couple tears itself apart, a love story slowly develops between Felix and Chango. Henceforth, this solitary man has only aim: to protect the child from family chaos, no matter what it takes.
