Distributed by Vertigo Films in 27 prints, "The Taste of Others" (aka "It Takes All Kinds") by Agnès Jaoui has drawn over 100,000 moviegoers in Spain after just four weeks on the screens. These fine results place the film at the top of French-language films released in 2000.
Equally well received in the four other countries in which it has been released so far (Belgium, Switzerland, Canada and Germany), "The Taste of Others" has already crossed the 300,000 spectators threshold abroad.
The film's exporter, Pathé International, has planned its release in some fifteen other countries in 2001, and has notably slated its American launch for February 2 (handled by Offline Entertainment), as the film represents France at the Oscars.
Agnès Jaoui will make the trip to New York early January for a promotional tour for the film.
