Founded in 2000, the Mois du Film Documentaire (Month of Documentary Films) is bursting with energy for its 18th edition. Around 3,000 screenings and events will be held until November 30 in France and other countries around the world, from Brazil to Canada, China to Egypt, and India to Russia, not to mention the United Kingdom, Vietnam, and Burkina Faso, with over 30 participating countries shining the spotlight on French documentaries this year.
The Modern Skateboarding, which UniFrance is presenting to you today, is a brilliant illustration of the vitality of this genre. Taking a contemplative look at a group of "off-piste" skateboarders who ride through the French countryside in the depths of the Dordogne region, Antoine Besse takes us by surprise in a work that blurs the boundaries between documentary and fiction.
Highly acclaimed for this multi-award winning film, Antoine Besse has recently completed a series for STUDIO+ entitled Red Creek starring Lou De Laâge.
The Modern Skateboarding is accessible for viewing free-of-charge until November 30, 2017, by clicking here.
