The outfit Europa Corp. is in fact currently producing the film "Michel Vaillant," based on the French comic strip of the same name – which recounts the adventures of the racing car driver Michel Vaillant – to be played by Sagamore Stévenin. To make the film, Europa has obtained permission to use two of the cars participating in the race (out of competition), thus allowing director Louis-Pascal Couvelaire ("Sueurs") to shoot actual images of the race. After capturing these images, the shoot of Michel Vaillant will officially commence July 22, to be completed late November. The French release of the film is to be handled by Europa Distribution, with as yet no release date confirmed.
