During the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals, American distributors confirmed their current interest in French films.
In Venice, Paramount Classics acquired the rights to "L'Homme du Train" by Patrice Leconte, which was presented in competition at the festival and sold by Pathe International.
In Toronto, Miramax bought the rights for "Décalage Horaire" by Danièle Thompson from StudioCanal, while IFC Films singled out "Novo" by Jean-Pierre Limosin, sold by Celluloid Dreams, and Lions Gate set its heart on "Irreversible" by Gaspar Noé, sold by Wild Bunch.
This significant number of sales in the North American territory adds to the already extensive list of French films slated for release in upcoming months, with no less than 15 titles to hit the screens between now and the New Year.
