A French film picks up the Grand Prize at the Tokyo International Film Festival (October 21-29, 2006) for the first time in fifteen years of the festival.
Unifrance congratulates the crew of the film “OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies,” which has won the Grand Prize at the 19th Tokyo International Film Festival.
Gathered together on the stage of the Bunkamura cinema, the director Michel Hazanavicius, the actress Aure Atika, and the composer Ludovic Bource received the Grand Prize at the Tokyo International Film Festival, presented by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, president of the festival jury.
The jury for the international competition included Marco Müller (director of the Venice Film Festival), Kudo Yuki (Japanese actress), Mitsuo Yanagimachi (Japanese director), Bill Mechanic (American producer and former manager of Fox Studios from 1996 to 2000), and Garin Nugroho (Indonesian director).
