Organizers have announced the line-up of the 2007 Locarno International Film Festival, to be held from August 1 through 11.
The International Competition features the French films Capitaine Achab by Philippe Ramos, La Maison Jaune by Hakkar Amor, and Sous les toits de Paris by Hiner Saleem.
The "Filmmakers of the Present" section includes Guillaume et les sortilèges by Pierre Léon, Never Sleeps by Philippe Flechaire, Benoît Falize, and Jérémy Boury, and Nuage by Sébastien Betbeder. The "Here and Elsewhere" section will showcase La Captureby Carole Laure, Crime et chatiments by Zhao Liang, La Danse de l'enchanteresse by Adoor Gopalakrishnan and Brigitte Chataignier, and Morceaux de conversations avec Jean-Luc Godard by Alain Fleischer.
L'Armée des fourmis by Wissam Charaf, Le Café des pêcheurs by Hadi Ulad Mohand, and L'Inconnu by Aurélien Vernhes-Lermusiaux are also included in the Short Film Competition.
The Piazza Grande section will screen Une journée by Jacob Berger, Mon frère est fils unique by Daniele Luchetti, Winners and Losers by Lech Kowalski, and The Flight of the Red Balloon by Hsiao-hsien Hou.
