Sarajevo Film Festival

    イベントプレゼンテーション

The Sarajevo Film Festival was founded in 1993 by the Bosnian director Haris Pasovic. The fashion designer agnès b has largely contributed to this festival, like the creation of the Heart of Sarajevo, among others.

A festival recognized by the FIAPF, this event presents an extensive selection of films divided into around twelve sections. Its Official Competition is only open to films from the Balkans and south-eastern Europe, aiming to serve as a showcase for these productions. With around twenty French films selected each year—from a total of 200 titles presented—French cinema is well-represented in a number of sections, including Kinoscope, New Currents, and the festival's short film programs. An average of 100,000 spectators attend screenings.

The CinéLink Film Market presents around a dozen productions from the various countries in the region in its feature-length category. It also gives local movie industry professionals and filmmakers a chance to meet up and launch new projects. It is southern Europe's biggest international film market.

The Sarajevo Talent Campus, an educational platform for young movie industry professionals, was created in 2007. The Sarajevo Film Fund, launched the following year, has provided encouragement for young filmmakers in the region of southern and eastern Europe to work on collaborative projects, or to make films with participants in the Sarajevo Talent Campus program.
