Mallory Wanecque reflects on playing teenage Jackie in Beating Hearts (‘L’Amour ouf’) by Gilles Lellouche — a sweeping, emotional tale of first love, shattered dreams, and second chances.
Spanning the 1980s and 90s in northern France, the film follows Jackie and Clotaire, two teens from opposite worlds whose love is tested by violence, injustice, and time.
