あらすじ
Fall,1989: Europe is shaken by a wave of change. The Berlin wall crumbles, communist regimes in Eastern Europe tumble shortly thereafter. In Italy, Achille Occhetto, general secretary of the Italian Communist Party, announces that a "watershed" has been reached, and that the Party must change its name and its symbol in order to become a broader, mainstream organization.
Mario and Maria Boschi are a married couple in their early thirties, with young children. The changes hit them like a bolt of lightning. Mario agrees with the new approach, Maria is dead set against it.
Political differences swiftly become marital differences. Mario and Maria no longer agree on anything. Once the spell is broken, their marriage is rapidly on the rocks. In order to argue as little as possible in front of the children, Mario and Maria simply stop talking to each other. Then, just at this psychologically tricky moment, Maria meets another Mario...
