About
"I had the idea for "Someone Else's America" during one of my many trips to New York. Over there, I discovered a new world, that of the immigrants. A world offering different sensations each day that differ from those American film usually provide. Most of the people I met were like the characters in the film. They have been living on American soil for years but their hearts and minds have remained in their homeland, thus creating a blend of dream and reality in their minds. Through "Someone Else's America", I aimed to highlight this world and its characters who are touching, tender, funny, at times desperate but always deeply human."
