My first is a writer, awkward, weak, full of bad faith, and terribly selfish. My second is a hotel sneak thief. She's strong, free, and in love with my first. My third sells hats and happens by chance upon the novel of my first. My all starts to look a little off when my third catches the eye of my first and my second the eye of my third.

"Concerning Laurent Bénégui...
Laurent Bénégui doesn't weigh down the actors, especially not with directorial pressure. He's in a state of total lightness, of permanent inventivity. There's something very childlike about him.
Childhood must be watered every day, otherwise it leaves you.
Concerning the hero...
A woman passes, and he invents a love story. We don't know if it's the invention of this story that excites him, love itself, or the woman. He's a mega-egocentric. He uses the people and the events around him to prove he exists. Thus he is constantly seeking. Running. Out-living himself. As a result he falls flat on his face, having tripped over the magic carpet of his existence.
Concerning the fairer sex...
I happen to share Laurent's opinion on the fairer sex. From time to time, a man thumps the table with his fist for effect. And wham ! He breaks his wrist !
