We filmed for five consecutive weeks, from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. in Arbresles station, about 30 kilometres from Lyon. All the actors were present on the set even when they weren’t being filmed, which made us look and feel like a theatre troupe and also gave us a lot of freedom. We tried to film the story in sequence as much as possible. This togetherness, accentuated by the night-time atmosphere, had a big influence on the film. It certainly helped to engender the feeling of solidarity which comes across in the film. (Stéphane Clavier)
