Words may not be useless, but they can’t say everything. There’s something more. Another language. With adults, the lines of communication are pre-established. But a kid won’t necessarily react to the same codes as us. So it was interesting to work on the idea of a kid who, thanks to his sensitive awareness and imagination, can not only communicate with an old man but can even lead him to communicate with others. I have a positive, optimistic philosophy. My two characters are incredibly strong. Marty’s world is a world full of life, of a kid who wants to laugh and have fun.
