あらすじ
"Action!" How the Marthod villagers walk and walk along narrow tracks in the Arly Valley. They tirelessly climb the slope, herding their livestock beneath the June sun… or ride a sleigh through a snowstorm. Why do they get together at the factory exit? And why, on the brink of the new millennium, are they digging deep into their past? This young woman, so in love, why is she stalling? 1910, in a village in the Savoy region… and it's very difficult to combine a marriage for love with one for money. Where are these parallel stories, so real they seem like documentary, leading to? They oscillate between black and white and color, as though to better measure the time that's passed…

About
The film has been out now for several months, and to make up for the sparse media coverage, we’ve often accompanied it to public showings. The depth of its reach took me by surprise. I never dreamed that our film would arouse so many emotions and memories and surprises, and among young people, too. Not surprisingly, it touched the people of Savoy, but it was very encouraging to see how strongly it appealed to audiences from other parts of the country, and even from abroad. There is room in the world for another brand of cinema than the kind that always gets the limelight.
