Returning to a night club where he forgot his sweater the night before, Michael Jussieu is the involuntary witness to the murder of a far right-wing journalist. he recognizes Eleonore and Patrice, members of a secret pôlitical organization, known since resistance years. He is knocked out and comes to in the presence of chief inspector Malterer. Innocent, Michel denies his involvement in the murder but doesn't tell him he knows
