1952. Marcel, an out-of-work toymaker, comes into possession of a Photomator, a machine that sucks up what it photographs. Marcel has always dreamed of reproducing reality, in maniacal detail, in scale model form. He makes use of the machine's power and the photos it takes, to take revenge on a photographer.
