A former Israeli soldier participated in a reprisals mission in which two Palestinian policemen were killed. He wants to be pardoned for what he has done.
His girlfriend doesn't think that being pardoned is as easy as all that. She asks questions that her boyfriend is not yet able to face. The soldier willingly testifies before the camera, so long as his true identity is kept hidden.
The filmmaker, while searching for an adequate solution to protect the soldier's identity, reflects upon his own political and artistic conduct.
