Caroline, a young advisor at the Social Security office, discovers by chance that a man whose case she oversees is working on the side. Feeling strangely betrayed, she tries to find out more about the man by following him one night after he’s finished work. By putting herself in danger this way, she hopes to give meaning to her role of social worker and calm her own demons.
