Bosnia-Herzegovnia, 1991. At the collapse of communism, Divko returns to his village after 20 years of exil in the West. He's accompanied by the young and charming Azra, whom he intends to marry, Bonny the black cat, and his pockets full of Deutschemarks. He intends to find everything as he left it, most particularly his son Martin, who he's never met. But no one was expecting him to return and Bonny doesn't seem to like these new surroundings.
In short, in 20 years, things have changed and Divko's homecoming turns out not to be the one he'd dreamed of.
