Seen from afar and experienced from close up, ageing can be frightening. However, by listening to those who go through it, ageing doesn't necessarily need to be reduced to bodily changes. While physical life tends to less mobility, doesn't spiritual life develop more flexibility? Doesn't old age bring new promises? Six eighty-year-olds talk intimately about their attempts to adapt to physical difficulties and to accept desires that change. Their long experience and their thirst for life incite them to detach themselves from everyday constraints so as to savor time for themselves alone.
