Julie and Vincent, twenty-eight years old, have been shepherds for several years. Every summer, they and the herd head for summer pastures in the Alps. During these four months away from the world, they stay in different huts, always higher up, always more isolated. This year, things are different. The couple leave with Robin, their first child who has just turned one. For the first time, Vincent alone watches over, with difficulty, the herd of 2300 animals entrusted to the couple by the group of breeders, while Julie remains at the hut to take care of Robin.
