あらすじ
Picasso Land was inspired by the famous ballet Parade (1917). Picasso created the costumes and sets, the text was written by Cocteau, the music composed by Satie, and Massine devised the choreography. In 1980, this monument of European avant-garde theater was adapted for television by Jean-Christophe Averty, a director and heir to Surrealism and a pioneer of the chroma key technique in France.
Picasso Land attempts to perpetuate this avant-garde spirit by presenting 10 of Picasso's paintings and sculptures, forming a small dancing and heterogeneous population. This reinterpretation of Picasso's work reveals a country which would be built from one artwork to the next, with its own mores, culture, and territory.
