February 14, 1942. Fifteen-year-old Jacques, is arrested by the Feldgendamerie in Choisy-au-Bac (Oise) for possession of weapons. He is successively imprisoned in Compiègne, Amiens and in La Santé prison in Paris. Then nobody knows what becomes of him: he disappears.
Jacques doesn't return after the Liberation. His mother, Emilia, looks for any trace of him for more than thirty years, in vain. She learns only that he was deported from La Santé to the Hinzert concentration camp, in German, on June 18, 1942.
