Chien Pourri and his friend Chaplapla live in a dustbin. They are outcasts. Orderly, right-thinking society regards them as less than nothing, the destitute, the invisible. Chien Pourri has no hatred for those who reject him. He loves living in his dustbin with his friends. It's his natural world, and he doesn't aspire to anything else.
He wants to find love, he tries to go on holiday like everyone else. But because he acts a little too quickly and thinks only moderately well, his quests are complicated, reinforcing his uniqueness. At first glance, Chien Pourri's adventures are zany and endearing. But deep down, Chien Pourri is questioning society. He's looking for a man (or at least a dog). His crazy, madcap (and hairy) runs push the hypocrites around and knock over the thieves... even if it's usually because he's clumsy.
