Police Captain Emma Thélier is on vacation in Charente-Maritime at her mother’s house when, while out jogging, she stumbles upon a murdered man. Emma, who knows the region well, is put in charge of the investigation alongside Gendarmerie Captain Adrien Klévec, with whom she spent the previous night. It was a one-night stand for the two officers, both equally embarrassed to find themselves working as a team. They decide to act as if nothing had happened between them and begin the investigation to discover who shot the man with a silver bullet. Emma prefers fieldwork and action, while Adrien favors the analytical study of case files and profiles… they’re polar opposites, and yet they can’t hide their mutual attraction.
