French films' results in the international arena are once against driven by strong performances by comedies. While C'est la vie! has already attracted over 2 million spectators, La Ch'tite Famille has passed the million spectators mark outside France.
Previously ranking as the most successful French film export of 2018 (before being outscored by Taxi 5, which, thanks to its release in China, now tallies 2.4 million admissions and €9.93 million in ticket sales), C'est la vie! now takes second position and has recently surpassed 2 million spectators in international theaters (taking €14.7 million)! Already released in around fifty markets, the latest film by the Nakache/Toledano duo registered its best results in スペイン and ドイツ (369,000 and 361,000 admissions respectively), while also garnering over 100,000 admissions in ベルギー, イスラエル, イタリア, ロシア, and スイス.
La Ch'tite Famille sits in third place, having now attained 1 million admissions abroad (€7.63 million in revenues). This comedy by Dany Boon has particularly charmed audiences in French-speaking markets, where it topped box office charts in its opening week. It has registered 306,000 admissions, in ベルギー, 111,500 in スイス, and 52,000 in ケベック州, and has also won over spectators in ドイツ (264 500 admissions, the highest score in a non-French-speaking market) and スペイン (122,500 admissions). This film's international run will soon continue in theaters in 大韓民国 and イタリア.
