As is the custom, the Swiss and Belgian releases of “Astérix et Obélix : mission Cléopâtre” have coincided with its domestic release. The number of prints is high, like everyone’s expectations, and so are the returns.
Released in 80 prints in Belgian theaters, the film has already attained 150,000 admissions after just one week – a record. In French-speaking Switzerland, where the film was given a 24-print release, the score so far is a pleasing 84,000 admissions.
