Wednesday, May 22, Unifrance hosted a cocktail party for French cinema's partners in Scandinavian countries.
Distributors, festival directors and journalists from the five countries of Scandinavia (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) accepted Unifrance's invitation to attend a cocktail party that served as a follow-up to two work meetings held during the 2001 Cannes Festival and the European Meeting of French Cinema last January.
During this informal get-together, Daniel Toscan du Plantier applauded the efforts of distributors on behalf of French cinema, while Unifrance presented its new operations in Scandinavia, notably the strengthening of France's presence at Scandinavian festivals and the organization of a press junket dedicated to Scandinavia, to be held in Paris in October, 2002.
