Les Deux Mondes has already registered close to 800,000 admissions in China, doubling its French results.
Distributed by the fledging distribution outfit New View Media, the film hit Chinese screens on March 5, with 269 35mm prints in circulation, including 225 prints dubbed in Chinese and 44 in original French version with Chinese subtitles, as well as 450 digital prints.
Directed by Daniel Cohen, Les Deux Mondes was released in France in 2007 and attracted 400,000 admissions.
The film’s international admissions score now surpasses the million mark, with a triumphant performance in Russia, where it pulled in 175,000 spectators.
