The FebioFest International Film Festival was held in Prague March 25 through April 2, 2010.
This 17th edition of FebioFest included 38 French productions and co-productions, with a total of 215 films presented at the event.
A selection of feature films with distribution deals already secured for the Czech Republic traveled to 8 Czech cities following the festival.
Bruno Dumont, Julie Sokolowski, and Gaspar Noé were in attendance for the Czech premieres of Hadewijch and Enter the Void, distributed by ACFK and Artcam respectively.
Audiences greeted the event with enthusiasm, with films playing to packed houses, and discussion sessions, interviews, and press conferences running well over the scheduled times. This is a very well-organized festival, with events centralized in a single location at the Village Cinema Andel multiplex. FebioFest is also a music festival, with jazz, blues, rock, and avant-garde music concerts held every evening in the Andel cinema basement venues.
