From December 5-9, 2012, Singapore will welcome its second annual French Film Festival and a regional film market.
UniFrance Films and the French Embassy in Singapore joined forces in December 2011 to organize the first event devoted to French films held in Singapore. This event includes a French Film Festival and the ATF (Asia Television Forum and Market) aimed at movie professionals in the region (シンガポール, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and India). The event attracts around 6,000 spectators.
The festival selection comprises a dozen films, some of which have already been acquired by local distributors and others that have not yet found a buyer. The aim of the event is to encourage the commercial release of French films in these markets by focusing on promotion.
This year, 10 sales companies will be represented at the uniFrance Films booth at the ATF: Cité Films, Films Distribution, Futurikon, Gaumont, Le Pacte, Pathé International, Pyramide International, SND, and Urban Films.
