About
"I am 35 years old and so far I have made three horror-fantastic films. That's after spending 10 years working with my mentors, Dario Argento and Terry Gilliam - but I still haven't had the chance to make a really personal film, the one that would clear the way and allow me to deal with subjects closer to the way my imagination works. The horror genre has been for me an original way of taking an explicitly visual and visionary approach to directing (...). My father is a writer who has a great love of art. No doubt it was his influence that gave me this taste for visionary film-making. I love the type of movies that start off in the real world, which the imagination then transforms and twists as it pleases. "Cemetary Man" allowed me to create a fascinating visual climate in which two worlds are totally opposed."
