About
"A letter to my brother
"The way you are and what you are. " Those words dog my footsteps through the rainy streets of Nice. Because my brother was intensely what he was. Jean-Pierre was a courageous guy, a captain courageous. That disturbed or annoyed people at times but if you could look him in the eye, you came out feeling stronger. He got the theatre off its ass. He demolished it, rebuilt it. "The way you are and what you are." How do you link the two ? He succeeded. I'm writing these words for you, the reasonnable people with paid holidays and simple pleasures. He performed for you, to transport you, just like music does. Jean-Pierre Bisson loved you, he said so at least thrirty times. Thirty plays written. When you have too much love to give, you never get enough in return. Jean-Pierre died on December 12. My watch stopped and my life too but strangely my heart keeps on beating."
(Marco Bisson, brother of the actor-director Jean-Pierre Bisson - Studio Magazine)
