あらすじ
Sam, thirty, is an inspector with the crime squad. For more than twenty years now, he's been playing chess with Joseph Katz, an old second-hand dealer and former concentration camp prisoner. He loves him like his own father. That morning, before his very eyes, Katz cold-bloodedly shoots a German tourist who entered his shop by chance. He recognized him as the SS officer who was responsible for the massacre of his family fifty years earlier. Sam feels unable to arrest his friend. He lets the old man go in the street. A few hours later, Katz commits suicide. Unless he was in fact murdered... From Paris to Berlin, from Hamburg to Jerusalem, Sam's investigation takes an increasingly disturbing turn. A manhunt, a series of murders, dealings in works of art stolen from the Jews by the Nazis... "K" is a political thriller constructed like a game of chess.

About
"On joining the team during the final stage of writing an already powerfull constructed screenplay whose dramatic progress was fuelled by twists that were surprising but not at all arbitrary, I enjoyed working with Antoine Lacomblez and Alexandre Arcady himself immensely. During the hours and days filled with the joys of fine-tuning and the final development of a tragic plan, amid the laughter caused by the renewed agreement on the solutions to our problems, the seriousness of the subject tackled, as well as its topicality, continually inspired us." (Jorge Semprun)
