あらすじ
Laure is twenty years old and beautiful. Her mind is made up: she’s going to live the life she has promised herself, no matter what it takes. Far away from this petty, small-town life. She’s out of here... Andréa is the one who gives Laure her lucky break. He does it for love, without really knowing what he’s doing. He meets David and Romain, also both 20, on the go-kart track where he often goes to practise, and their shiny new cars, easy manner, money and absolute freedom dazzle him. They both live on the heights above Nice and talk about the future with casual confidence. The girl they’re snapping right now is cute but Laure is a whole lot better...Andréa doesn’t toy with the card from the photo agency for long. Pretty soon, he’s introducing Laure to David. Fate takes care of the rest.

About
Three years ago I was back in my home town, La Ciotat, talking to some childhood friends. One of them told me that one of the boys we used to hang out with when we were 8 years old was dead. He hadn’t just died, he’d been murdered in a gangland killing a few years before, when he was 21. It gave me a strange feeling. Here I was, hearing about the death of a young adult but the only images of him I could summon up were of a 10- year-old boy. That feeling was the departure point for my film. Destiny, inevitability and the difficulty of crossing the border into adulthood... I wanted to make the characters in my film fight against these things.
