あらすじ
Three women live together in an old rectory on the seashore. Alda lends her body to a string of carnal relationships but never commits her feelings. Olga, the elder sister, has opted for a reclusive life as the soul of the household. Her daughter, Sigga, is a young adolescent. The house harbors a finely balanced marriage between desire and memory—until Olga’s destiny tips the scales.

About
Alda took over her dead sister’s place in the same way that Olga, the character I play, took over the role of the mother. ‘Stolen Life’ is about time, generations that step into each other’s shoes and a shared memory that secretly holds a family together. What appealed to me was the relation-ship between the two sisters. I find the devotion they have for each other, that love that goes all the way, very beautiful. And I loved playing a lonely person. It’s a very rich part. Olga is a very solid person from the others’ point of view. She keeps her fragility to herself. She doesn’t show her feelings or complain. You can’t explain her. I still have all kinds of questions about her. She’s like the film. It stirred me up a lot when I saw it: so gentle on the surface and so violent underneath.
