あらすじ
High in the Lisbon hills: bonfires, fairs and religious festivals, the year 2000, the economic crisis, upcoming elections. Drunk undercover cops pursue a group of transvestites – “The Wives of Saint-Anthony” – and throw them into the river naked, then set their white gowns alight. Caton, a charismatic, unscrupulous young mayoral candidate and nationalist politician, harasses timid Sylvia with threats and crazy promises but she flees his bed… Beautiful Sylvia is a vaguely mystical transvestite who’s desperately looking for love that’s out of this world.
