Photographies d'un camp, le Vernet d'Ariège
あらすじ
In May 1993, Linda Ferrer-Roca was given a stock of old negatives found in an attic. This photographic jumble contained around 2,000 faces, full on and in profile - a large part of the legal records of the Vernet d'Ariège internment camp (1939-1944) - and shots of daily life. This film revolves around the investigation carried out by the director to locate, identify and find, as far as possible, the subjects of these photos. It is based on the photograph's capacity to reactivate memory, to free words. A mosaic of words and looks to explain the horror and banality of imprisonment.
