あらすじ
Anna Halgrimsdottir lives in Reykjavik with her two sons. Fed up with the Icelandic cold, she decides to sell her business in order to leave the island.
Her business - selling marijuna - is hugely prosperous, so she wants to sell it for a good price. The buyer, to whom she'll pass on her cellphone, a magical object which receives calls from all her clients, asks her to give him 48 hours to get the money together.
During these 48 hours, Anna finds herself dragged into a heap of typically Icelandic stories filled with unexpected and crazy encounters. There's the young, God-loving Irish hitchhiker, the distant cousin who's depressed and wants to top himself, the French student who's a fan of her poetry, and a goose who rings.
While she travels from one end of the island to another, her kitchen becomes a waiting room where her clients, increasingly numerous, impatiently await her return.
