あらすじ

Anne Guez, 40, is a former actresse... Now she works as a typist in her own home. She is totally indifferent to her surroundings ; her only links with reality are the recorded voices that she transcribes with her typewriter. Cloistered in her tower, this woman does not live, she merely RfunctionsS. Gilles, a second-hand dealer accidentally involved in a robbery, has the police on his heels. When he comes and forces her to let him hide in her apartment, there is an inevitable conflict between their personalities. Their worlds are diametrically opposed. He has youth, life and curious way of looking at things and people. She intrigues him, moves him. He wants to know more about this mysterious woman. She resists. Will he, by dint of charm, imagination, tenderness and provocation, succeed in arousing any emotion in this woman-machine ? As their accidental encounter turns into a confrontation with her letting go, then closing up again and with him disturbing her regimented life and cloister...
