Two speeches are going to speak about the same reality: that of the mines and their relocation under the Thatcher years. Nevertheless, none of these speeches are going to report the reality of the problem. This one is exactly between both speeches.

Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager.
