あらすじ
This is perhaps Tundrup's last migration, the end of his nomad's life on the high plains of the Himalayas. When the merchants arrive, Tundup and his family must choose: to sell their herds, abandon their lands and head for the city like so many others before them, or to remain in Karmak. Where will they be happier? At 14,700 feet above sea level, in a lunar setting where the sky merges with the vast mineral expanse, director Marianne Chaud filmed the treks of these last surviving nomads. Embedded in their community for many long months, speaking their language, she placed her camera as close as possible to their voices and gestures, offering spectators encounters of a rare intimacy. As much as the splendor of the landscapes, the extreme harshness of the living conditions and the emotions shared with the nomads, it is this closeness that creates the film's magic.
